CAMPBELL HILL - Neomia Henrietta Chapman, 94, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 9:30 A.M. Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Pinckneyville Skilled Care Unit in Pinckneyville, IL. She was born January 17, 1914 in Campbell Hill, Illinois the daughter of Rev. F. W. Repke and Carolena Margaret (Burmeister) Repke. Neomia married Haley Richard Chapman on January 17, 1937 in Campbell Hill, IL. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1991. Neomia was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, IL, the St. Luke's Womens Organization and the Quilting Group. She sang in the choir at church and was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class for many years. Neomia was a homemaker and had worked at the general telephone office until her marriage. She made many beautiful quilts. She loved her church and all her life she lived near her church. She also loved gardening and her flowers. Neomia is survived by her children, Robert F. (Sandy) Chapman of Campbell Hill, Rodney N. (Judith K.) Chapman of Belleville, IL, and Mary E. (Larry) Thies of Lake Forest, CA; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and one sister, Margaret Smith of Campbell Hill, IL. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death in by her parents, two sisters, three half brothers and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill with Rev. Raymond Barclay officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery in Campbell Hill. Visitation will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hil on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the hour of service. Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Flag Pole Fund.
