AVA, Nellie M. McClure, 83, of Ava, passed away at 1:30 P.M. Friday, April 10, 2009, at her home in Ava, IL. She was born January 14, 1926 in Malden, Missouri the daughter of Dallas B. Dollins and Violet (Whitlock) Dollins. She married Ervin McClure on December 7, 1944 in Murphysboro, IL. He passed away on April 13, 1990. Nellie was a homemaker in her own home and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one son; Fred McClure of Herrin, Illinois, one daughter; Patricia (Cindy) McClure of Ava, Illinois, two grandchildren; David McClure and Lisa Jones, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Ava Evergreen Cemetery in Ava. Rev. Larry Dean Worthen will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or New Life Tabernacle Church.
