DESOTO, Naomi I. McBride, 83, of DeSoto, passed away at 6:29 AM Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at University Nursing and Rehab in Edwardsville, Illinois. She was born August 4, 1928 in East St. Louis, Illinois the daughter of Arthur Heidenriech and Sophia (Graham) Heidenriech. Naomi married John McBride on April 24, 1952 in Key West, Florida. John passed away on April 12,1981. She is survived by her: 2 sons: John and Evan McBride, Red Bud, IL, Alan McBride, Carbondale, IL; daughter: Linda and Ray Smith of Collinsville, IL; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Carolyn McBride of Collinsville, IL; 2 sisters: Shirley Frank of Collinsville, IL, Helen McGarey of O'Fallon, IL. Naomi is preceded in death by her: parents, one son Leonard McBride, three grandchildren, one sister and one brother. She was a homemaker in her home and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home Ava, Illinois. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Chester, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and then from 7:30 to the hour of service. Memorials may be made to the love fund for the family.
