STEELEVILLE – Nancy L. Thies, 74, of Steeleville, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Chester.

Nancy was born in Ellis Grove, Illinois, on June 30, 1950, the daughter of Ardell and Mary Dilday Wall. She married Leonard Thies on July 6, 1980, in Campbell Hill, Illinois. She was a Homemaker. Nancy was a member of Steeleville Baptist Church.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Leonard Thies of Steeleville, her children: James V. II (Deb) Jeremiah of Steeleville, IL, Marria (John) Koch of Chester, IL, Jimmy (Christina) Thies of Gulf Shores, AL; her grandchildren: Harley Jackson, Patrick Bowen, Christoper James, Emily (Mike) Sylvester, Lily Koch, Brennen, Mackenzie Underhill, Isabella Thies;  her great grandchildren: Vyncynt, Bailee, Brantley, McKinley, Natalee, Garrett; her siblings: Danny Pontious of New Athens, IL, Jackie Warren of Tilden, IL, and Linda Foutch of Steeleville, IL.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Zach, and a great granddaughter, Kaylee.

It was Nancy's wishes for cremation and a Memorial Service will follow at a later date.
