MURPHYSBORO – Nancy Ellen Degenhardt, 64, of Murphysboro, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at home in Murphysboro.

Nancy was born in DuQuoin, Illinois, on May 9, 1959, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Higgerson Degenhardt. She was of the Protestant Faith. Nancy was retired. She enjoyed quilting and genealogy.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Lynn (Jackie) Stueve of Chester and Amanda Jewel Ellet of Murphysboro; grandchildren, Emily (Trenton) Fisk, Victoria Ann Reichrath, and Zayne Allen Stueve; great grandson, Donnie; her parents, Donald and Dorothy Degenhardt of Murphysboro; sister, Susan Anderson of Murphysboro; and brother, William Martin (Marsha) Degenhardt of Murphysboro.

Nancy's wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held.
