VERGENNES – Nadine M. Phoenix, 96, of Vergennes, passed away at 12:30 am, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Manor Court in Carbondale.
Nadine was born in Vergennes, Illinois, on October 14, 1921, the daughter of Edward H. and Elizabeth Rath Sherman.
Nadine is survived by a special longtime friend of 23 years, Jesse W. Crow; son, Kevin Phoenix; and good neighbors, Bob and Cynthia Chambers and Mark Linze.
Nadine was preceded in death by her Parents; one sister, Norma Lipe; one daughter, Candis Lynn Phoenix; and one infant son, Bruce Phoenix.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Bill Stoklosa officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, Murphysboro. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Tuesday, where friends may call from 9 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Donor's Choice.
