CHESTER, Minnie M. Wilfong, 81, of Chester, passed away at 6:30 P.M. Monday, March 14, 2011, at St. Anns Healthcare Center in Chester, IL. She was born January 02, 1930 in Vienna, Illinois the daughter of Dave Glass and Helen (Reid) Glass. Minnie married John H. Wilfong on July 30, 1971 in Chicago, IL. John passed away on June 20, 1994. She is survived by her children: David Wright of Oklahoma City, OK, Dennis and Cindy Wright of Prescott, AZ, Rick and Donna Woods of Steeleville, IL, Jamie and Michael Miner of Chester, IL; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother: Robert Glass of Chester, IL. Minnie is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. Mrs. Wilfong was a retired Female Matron from Randolph County Jail. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Chester, IL, and the Kaskaskia V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3553, Chester, IL, and Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. S. Blake Duncan will be officiating. Entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, IL. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm and then on Thursday from 7:30 to 9am at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Then from 10-11 at the church.
