STEELEVILLE, Mildred Hartman, 83, of Steeleville, passed away at 6:20 P.M. Monday, December 20, 2010, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL. She was born July 08, 1927 in Willisville, Illinois the daughter of Albert Thies and Anna (Misselhorn) Thies. Mildred married Walter F. "Waddy" Hartman on October 4, 1946 in Steeleville, IL. Walter passed away on May 16, 1981. She is survived by her one son, Dennis "Pete" and Polly Hartman of Steeleville, IL; two daughters: Patsy Brown of Chester, IL and Bonnie and Brian Rathert of Newnan, GA; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers. Mildred worked in her home and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, IL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery in Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and then on Thursday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Foundation or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
