WILLISVILLE, Mike Saverino, 88, of Willisville, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in Carbondale, IL. Mike was born March 05, 1920 in Willisville, Illinois the son of Mike Saverino and Joshine (Faletta) Saverino. He was a retired Construction Laborer. He was in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Willisville, IL. Mike is survived by one sister, Rose Morgenthaler of Clearwater, FL and one brother, Joe Saverino of Kansas. He was preceded in death by his Parents and one sister, Mary. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 15, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Willisville with Father Leo J. Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willisville. Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Willisville, on Monday from 10 to 10:30 am. Memorials may be made to Masses.
