CARBONDALE – Michelle Renee Onkle, 52, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri.

Michelle was born on September 2, 1971, in Highland, IL, the daughter of James and Linda Sue (Primas) Onkle. She graduated from Herrin high School, graduated from Southern Illinois University and worked at Madison County, helping to remap the county. Michelle always enjoyed being a Server and helping others, she never knew a stranger. She was of the Catholic faith.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Linda (Gary) Ebers, Jim (Fran) Onkle, her stepbrothers and stepsisters: Amy (Matt) Naile, Scott (Heather) Ebers, Todd (Jennifer) Ebers, Teresa (Brian) Donahue, Niki (Cody) Hartrum, Josh (Susy) Onkle, Derek (Trisha) Onkle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved cat, Boogs.

Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, stepbrother, James Onkle, Jr. "Little Jimmy".

Michelle's wishes were for cremation and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family and can be mailed in c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
