PERCY, Michael D. Van Ausdoll, 65, of Percy, passed away at 6:26 AM Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at his son's home in Campbell Hill, Illinois. He was born June 26, 1947 in Red Bud, Illinois the son of Roscoe and Margaret (Repke) Van Ausdoll. Michael married Vickie Qualls on March 18, 1968 at Campbell Hill, IL. She passed away on May 28, 1981. Michael was a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Michael was a Christian and loved to read his bible. Michael wrote poems, did drawings, loved nature, hunting, fishing, living in the country and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his: 5 sons: Michael R. Van Ausdoll, Campbell Hill, IL; Matthew Van Ausdoll, Timminsville,SC; Heath Van Ausdoll, Florence, SC; Jesse Van Ausdoll, Hattisburg, MS and, Lucas Van Ausdoll, Pamplico, SC; 1 daughter: Maggie Evans, Elkville, IL; 17 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Other survivors include his mother, Margaret Smith, Campbelll Hill, IL; 1 brother, David Van Ausdoll, Marion, IL; 1 Sister, Angela Olinger, Campbell Hill, IL and 1 Aunt, Barbara Slusher, Tremont, IL Michael is preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Wilson's Funeral Home Ava, Illinois with Pastor Steve Evans officiating. Interment will be at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, Campbell Hill, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM .Memorials may be made to a Love Fund for the family.
