CHESTER – Michael G. Forsting, 29, of Chester passed away at 12:20 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in Chester.

Michael was born on March 15, 1990, in Red Bud, the son of Chad and Tammy (McDaniels) Forsting. Michael was an Army Veteran of the Afghanistan War, and worked for Pepsi Distributing in Chester. He married Amber Cook, on March 17, 2016, in Chester, and he was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, in Steeleville.

Michael is survived by his wife; Amber Forsting, of Chester, children; Xavier Forsting, Kail Forsting, Korie Forsting, Ellanore Forsting, all of Chester, step children; Logan Jausel, Tyson Jausel, Jaylyn Jausel, parents; Chad and Tammy Forsting, of Steeleville, maternal grandparents; Fred and Charlene McDaniels, of Steeleville, 2 brothers; Josh Forsting, of Steeleville, Geoffrey Forsting, of Steeleville, uncle; Joey McDaniels, of Steeleville, 2 cousins; Joel and Colin, his father; Brian (Cindy) Kerperien, sister; Mariah Kerperien, grandpa; Michael Kerperien, uncle; Allen Kerperien.

Mr. Forsting was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents; Doris and Leonard Salger, Charles and Earline Baker, paternal grandmother; Ann Kerperien.

There will be a Private family Memorial Service held. Memorials may be made to a Love Fund for the Family. Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
