STEELEVILLE – Michael L. Curtner, 67, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL.

Michael was born on September 19, 1956, in Red Bud, IL, the son of John W. and Fern (Kinne) Curtner. He married Patricia Zimmer on March 7, 2015, in Las Vegas, NV. Michael was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was of the Catholic Faith. He was a member of Alma Lodge #498, AF & AM, Steeleville, IL, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and Eagles Aerie 3252, Chester, IL.

Michael is survived by his wife, Patricia Curtner of Steeleville, IL, his son, Alan (Brooke) Beck of O'Fallon, IL, his grandchildren: Liam, Oliver, Henry, and Emmaline Beck, and his sister, Dode (Jim) Kaiser of New Athens, IL.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Raymond and John Terry Curtner, and a sister, Rosemary McDaniel.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 11:30 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Mark Harriss officiating. Burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Wilson's Funeral Home, where friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
