CAMPBELL HILL – Melody Goetting Wittenborn, 63, passed away on Wednesday, December
27, 2023, at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, Missouri.

Melody was born on May 19, 1960, in Marion, IL, the daughter of Gene and June (Fuhrhop)
Goetting. She married Denis Dale Wittenborn on September 22, 1979, in Steeleville, IL. He
preceded her in death on March 23, 1989. Melody was a member of St. Peter Lutheran
Church, Campbell Hill, IL.

Melody is survived by her children: Misty (Brian) Edwards of Waterloo, IL, Jason (Adrianne)
Wittenborn of Mascoutah, IL; grandchildren: Brenden, Jackson, and Madelyn Edwards, Jade
(Dylan) Hanna, Tyler Wittenborn, Riley Wittenborn, Ryan Wittenborn, Casey Wittenborn, Aria
Farrell; sisters: Holly Williams of Percy, IL, Stacey (Dale) Yates of Percy, IL, Kelly (Jason) Brown
of Perryville, MO; brother-in-law, Glen (Pam) Wittenborn of Chester, IL, and several nieces and
nephews.

Melody was also preceded in death by her parents, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law,
Darrell and Dorothy Wittenborn.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Minister Deb Rathert officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Campbell Hill, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, where friends may call from 10:30 am until 1 pm on Friday.
