CAMBELL HILL – Melissa Ann Clinton, 55, of Campbell Hill, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in DuQuoin, Illinois.

Melissa was born August 25, 1970, in Chester, IL to Marion G. and Viola June (Downs) Henson. Melissa married Dwayne Welty and then Dewayne Clinton, they both preceded her death.

Melissa is survived by her children: Megan Carson of Percy, IL, Shane Clinton of Campbell Hill, IL, Brittney Farmer of Washington; her grandson, Dresden, her stepdaughter, Jodi Ellison, her step grandchildren, Ethan and Skyler Ellison, her mother and stepfather, Viola (Jim) Penson of DuQuoin, IL, her siblings: Jeanette Shepard and family of Oakman, AL, Sherry Pyle and family of Percy, IL; her step siblings: Rachel Zeottler and family of Zeigler, IL, Jimmy Penson of DuQuoin, IL, and Dorcas Penson and family of DuQuoin, IL.

Melissa was also preceded in death by her father, infant son, Samuel Welty and her sister, Cindy Henson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, 1:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Jim Penson and Rev. Phillip L. Easton officiating. Visitation will be Saturday morning, where friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
