STEELEVILLE - Meggie C. White, 38, of Steeleville, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023, in Chester, Illinois.

Meggie was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 30, 1985, the daughter of Robert White and Jill Schaefer. She worked in Home Health Care and had been working at Hound Haus Boarding Kennel, Steeleville. Meggie was of the Lutheran Faith and was attending St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. She was an animal lover with a particular passion for Dogs.

Meggie is survived by her daughter, Eryn Valle of Steeleville; parents: Jill and Brian A. Smith of Steeleville; brother, Stephen (Paige) Scott of St. Louis, MO; step brothers, Daniel Smith of Evansville, IN, Brandon (Brooke) Smith of Percy, and AJ (Sarah) Smith of Hillsboro, MO; and step paternal grandmother, Carol Smith of Steeleville.

Meggie was preceded in death by her Father, Robert; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; and paternal step grandfather.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 7:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Rev. Mark Harriss officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 5 pm until 7 pm. Memorials may be given to Cardinal Glennon Hospital-NICU.
