STEELEVILLE, Maureen Ann Bierman, 59, of Steeleville, passed away at 4:20 P.M. Monday, May 09, 2011, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL. She was born September 16, 1951 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island the daughter of Maurice Ware and Hilda (Swinesburg) Ware. Maureen married Michael L. Bierman Sr. on November 27, 1971 in Davisville, RI. She is survived by her husband Michael L. Bierman Sr. of Steeleville, IL; children: Melissa LeAnn Bierman of Steeleville, IL, Michael L. and Brie Bierman Jr. of Apex, NC, Mark L. and Tracey L. Bierman of Belleville, IL; four grandchildren: Kaleb Schwarz, Karlye Schwarz, Logan Bierman, and Peyton Bierman; mother: Hilda Nilan of Pawtucket, RI.; sister: Florence Wildenhain of Pawtucket, RI.; brothers: Owen Nilan Jr. of Pawtucket, RI., Maurice Ware of Englewood, FL, George Ware of Tampa, FL, Joseph Ware of Cape Cora, FL, Bruce Ware of Cape Cora, FL, Bill Ware of Englewood, FL. She is preceded in death by her father, and two infant sisters. Maureen was a Homemaker in her own home, she was also a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville and the B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post#480, Steeleville, IL, She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time at home with family and friends. She was retired from Wal-Mart Pharmacy in Chester. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 to 8pm and on Thursday from 7:30 to 9am at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville. Then on Thursday from 10 to 11am at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. S. Blake Duncan will be officiating. Private burial will be at a later date at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Peace Lutheran Church.
