AVA, Mary F. Schwier, 80, of Ava, passed away at 4:20 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Belleville Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. She was born November 25, 1935 in Murphysboro, Illinois the daughter of Howard and Mary (Ward) Weatherford. Mary married Charles H. "Hank" Schwier on August 30, 1958 at Campbell Hill, IL. He passed away on July 6, 2000.
Mary was a Homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ava, IL and a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by her sons: Don Schwier, of Chester and Mike Schwier of Campbell Hill, IL; 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home Ava, Illinois with Rev. Bill Stoklosa officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home on Tuesday where friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 7:30am to 11am. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund.
