ROCKWOOD – Mary E. McDaniel, 81, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at her home in Rockwood, IL.

Mary was born December 30, 1940, in East St. Louis, IL, to Monroe and Marion Morgan Freidli. She married Richard R. McDaniel on November 24, 1958, in Booneville, MS. Mary was a homemaker and was of the Protestant Faith. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Illinois, Chapter #411, Sparta, IL. Mary was dedicated mother, who was always taking care of her family.

Mary is survived by her husband, Richard R. McDaniel of Rockwood, IL, children: Gary (Debbie) McDaniel of Mississippi, Lorri McDaniel of St. Louis, MO, Tom McDaniel of Phoenix, AZ, Charles (Cindy) McDaniel of Rockwood, IL; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a brother, John Freidli of Whitehouse, TN.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jim.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022, 2 – 7 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 3 pm. Private graveside services will be held at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Belleville, IL with Reverend Dr. Cecil Dunning officiating.
