WILLISVILLE, Mary L. Gerlach, 79, of Willisville, passed away at 2:38 P.M. Friday, November 12, 2010, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born September 12, 1931 in Willisville, Illinois the daughter of Raymond R. Bigham and Stella F.(Higgerson) Bigham. Mary married Lester Gerlach on December 23, 1948 in Randolph County, Illinois. She is survived by her husband Lester Gerlach of Willisville, IL, one daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Larry Steiner of Sparta, Illinois; two grandchildren: Andrea and Jeff Stoppelmann of Arnold, MO, Ryan and Jennifer Steiner of Belleville, IL; four great grandchildren: Logan and Kaylee Steiner of Belleville, IL and Jacob and Lucas Stoppelmann of Arnold, MO.; one sister: Gertrude Gerlach of Percy, IL; two step sisters: Marla and Victor Berge of Belleville, IL and Meredith and Walter Stephens of Bloomington, IL. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Lester Lee and Douglas Gerlach, two brothers, Raymond Bigham and Eugene Bigham. She worked as a Beautician and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, Illinois, Funeral services will be held Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill. Debra J. Rathert, Lay Minister will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery in Campbell Hill, Illinois. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Sunday from 5-8 pm and then on Monday from 7:30 until 9am then from 10 to 11am at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
