Mary was born in Ava, Illinois, on January 13, 1924, the daughter of Rev. Marion Monroe and Fannie Lewis Barringer. She married Virgil Lavern Falkenbury on January 14, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1993. She was an LPN at several different nursing homes and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mary is survived by three children, Michael Falkenbury of Fairview Heights, IL, Becky Johnston of E. Carondelet, IL, and Martha Aud of Wood River, IL; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Mary was also preceded in death by her Parents; one son, David; three brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call Friday from 5:30 pm until 7 pm. Burial will be at Glenn Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
