AVA – Mary Elizabeth Birmingham, 66, of Ava, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away at home in Ava on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Mary was born in Highland, Illinois, on June 3, 1960, the daughter of Julius Turner and Joan Lang Buckner.

Mary is survived by her children, William Sanderson of Dyersburg, TN, Patrick Sanderson of Dyersburg, TN and Toni (Randy) Capps of Dyersburg, TN; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and expecting another; spouse, Robert C. Brown, Jr. of Ava; brothers, Julius John Buckner of Salunga, PA, John Buckner of Hawthorne, FL, Donald Buckner of Dyersburg, TN; and sisters, Sonjia Buckner of Dyer County, TN, Lindy Buckner of Dyersburg, TN and Sheila Bryan of Dyersburg, TN.

Mary was preceded in death by her Parents; one daughter, Sherry Buckner; one sisters, Pat Henry; and one brother, Richard Buckner.

Mary’s wishes were to be cremated.
