PERCY – Marvin L. Myers, 81, of Percy passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the Barens-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Marvin was born on July 1, 1937, in Percy, the son of Clyde and Esther (Grewe) Myers. He married Della Gerlach on June 24, 1956, in Willisville. He graduated from Trico High School and attended Southern Illinois University. Marvin loved traveling in his RV, gardening, boating, and baseball. He worked at Spartan Printing and had a vending business.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years; Della, his daughter; Kathy Lewis, of Marion, grandsons; Jordan Lewis, of St, Louis, Nicholas Lewis, of Sitka, Alaska, Matthew Lewis, of St. Petersburg, Florida, Brett Lewis, of Marion, and one great granddaughter; Avery Rose Lewis, of Sitka, Alaska, 2 brothers; Richard (Delores) Meyers, of Cutler, Glenn (Martha) Myers of Percy, sisters-in-law; Joyce Harris of St. Louis, Irene Tabor of Marissa, IL, Lucille Clayton of Sparta and brother-in-law; Leroy Gerlach of Sparta.
Marvin was preceded in death by his Parents, son, Randy Lee Myers, sister-in-law, Norma (Curt) Wise, Betty Gerlach, and brothers-in-law, Jack and Rex Wendell and George Harris.
Marvin's wishes was to be cremated without any services. Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or Randolph County Humane Society.
