Obituary
AVA – Martha Katherine Roseme, 92, of Ava, passed away at 4:10 am, Thursday, January 21, 2016, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Martha was born in Murphysboro, Illinois on July 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Louis and Wilma Weiland Keeley. She married Frank T. Roseme on July 4, 1940 at Cape Girardeau, MO. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2006. Martha was a Homemaker, Seamstress, and Cook and she helped on the family farm. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Murphysboro.
Martha is survived by her children, Patsy (Gale) Garver of Ava and Frances Killion of Ava; grandchildren, James Killion, Kathleen Doty, Kathy Alstat, Ronald Garver, Dennis Garver, Danny McBride and Pamela McBride; 13 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
Martha was also preceded in death by her Parents; two daughters, Marsha Roseme and Phyllis Higgerson; son-in-law, John Killion; five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Murphysboro, with Rev. William Stoklosa officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be Pleasant Hill Christian Church on Saturday from 11 am until 1pm. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's.
