AVA – Martha Frances Killion, 77, of Ava, passed away at 2:00 am, Saturday, July 25, 2020, at home in Ava.
Martha Frances was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, on December 12, 1942, the daughter of Frank T. and Martha Katherine Keeley Roseme. She married John H. Killion on August 4, 1962 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2010. She was the Owner of Ava Craft Center, Office Manager of Killion Farm Real Estate and a Cosmetologist. Frances was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Murphysboro and she attended Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro and Crain Baptist Church in Ava.
Frances is survived by her children, James (Sherri) Killion of Marble Hill, MO and Kathleen (Jimmy) Doty of Ava; grandchildren, Clayton (Cheyenne), Lorrie and Harrison Killion, and Ethan, Evan and Cameron Doty; and one sister, Patsy (Gale) Garver of Ava.
Frances was also preceded in death by her Parents; and two sisters, Marsha Roseme and Phyllis Higgerson.
Phase 4 Guidelines will be in effect, which allows 50 attendees at one time, using social distancing guideline and facemasks. Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020, at 11:00 am, at Pleasant Hill Christian Cemetery, Murphysboro, with Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call on Monday from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
