WELGE – Marsha A. Ehlers, 75, of Welge passed away at home on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 10:38 am.

Marsha was born on October 7, 1949 in Red Bud, Illinois, the daughter of Adolph and Frances A. Hammel Rieckenberg. She married Jerry W. Ehlers on August 3, 1968 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church - Wine Hill, Steeleville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2012. She was retired Bus Driver. She drove for Southwestern Illinois Bus Company for over 40 years for Chester School District. Marsha was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church – Wine Hill, Steeleville, Illinois and was active in various church committees and WELCA. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her yard.

Marsha is survived by one son, Brian (Amy) Ehlers of Waterloo, IL; one daughter, Michele (Darl) Prange of Campbell Hill; grandchildren, Amira Al-Jassim, Zain Al-Jassim, Lily Evers, Michael Evers, Jessica Lodge and Juhle Wilson; great grandchildren, Kolten Wilson and Jedsen Lodge; sisters, Marilyn Frye of East Alton, IL, Mila Biermann of Steeleville, and Karen Youngberg of Murphysboro; three brothers-in-law, Darrel Ehlers of Campbell Hill, James Cushman of Chester, and Randy (Rachelle) Lakeman of St. Charles, MO; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Ajax.

Marsha was also preceded in death by her Parents; Mike Frye, David Youngberg, Cory Frye, Arold Ehlers, Pauline & Edgar Lakeman, Carol Ehlers, Marla Cushman, Tyson Ehlers and Shelley Ehlers.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:00 am, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church – Wine Hill, with Rev. Michael Foppe and Minister Deb Rathert officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery – Wine Hill. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 9 am, then from 10 am until 11 am at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery Fund or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
