Marsha Lynne Bierman, 82, of Campbell Hill IL., passed away unexpectedly at her home on
Monday, May 15, 2023, while attending to her much-loved flower garden.

Marsha was born on September 4, 1940, in San Diego, California, the daughter of Henry F.
Thamsen and Winona (Bennett) Thamsen. She was a graduate of Mar Vista High School in
Imperial Beach, California. She spent the next 20 years raising two beautiful daughters with her
former spouse. In San Diego, her working career consisted of more than twenty years as a
kitchen manager for an elementary school district and as a dental insurance manager.

After retirement, she married Marvin L. Bierman on October 15, 1994, in Campbell Hill, IL. He
preceded her in death on March 4, 2011. Marsha was a woman of faith and attended Denmark
Baptist Church in Cutler, IL where she enjoyed helping in the kitchen with vacation bible school
when she was able. She also enjoyed gardening, working jigsaw puzzles, traveling, watching
movies and spending time with family.

Marsha always had a sweet smile and kind words for everyone she met. She had a fun sense of
humor, endless patience, and was fiercely protective of her family and loved ones. She was
loving and compassionate and always saw the good in people. Her kind and gentle qualities
made her a treasured friend to many.

Marsha will be deeply and forever missed by her loving daughters Terri (David) Plakos of
Redondo Beach, CA, and Joni (Kalle) Buch of Bloomington, IN, her sister and best friend Kathy
Guthrie of Ava, IL, granddaughters Jessica and Kristina Buch of Los Angeles, CA, and many
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law "Mr.
Jerry".

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Denmark
Baptist Church, 2262 Pyatt-Cutler Road, Cutler IL, 62238. Pastor Marty De Roche officiating.
