STEELEVILLE, Marjorie L. Mendenhall, 91, of Steeleville, passed away at 9:25 P.M. Monday, September 21, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, IL. Marjorie was born December 16, 1917 in Oakwood, Illinois the daughter of Orval Wainwright and Esther (Cassel) Wainwright. She married William M. Mendenhall on July 6, 1946 at Oakwood, IL. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2000. Marjorie was a member of Steeleville Baptist Church, Steeleville, IL. Marjorie is survived by one daughter, Delores (Skip) Brawley of Percy, IL; and one grandson, Matthew Brawley of Fort Myers, FL. Marjorie was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville with Rev. Greg Sutter officiating. Burial will follow. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville.
