MARISSA, Marion K. Roethlisberger, 68, of Marissa, passed away at 11:49 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois. She was born July 27, 1945 in Pinckneyville, Illinois the daughter of Herman H. and Marie (Rabe) Mayer. Marion married Rudolph Roethlisberger on October 23, 1965 in Steeleville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1986. Marion was a Homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. She is survived by her: daughter: Sandra Roethlisberger, Marissa, IL; son: Andrew (Elizabeth) Roethlisberger, Marissa, IL; Grandson, Andrew Roethlisberger; brother, Herman W. Mayer, Steeleville, sisters, Loriena Ebers, Steeleville; Verna Beck, St. Louis, MO and Erna May Salger, Steeleville. Marion is preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Robert, 1 brother, Lloyd and 1 sister, Virginia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Tim B. Zechiel officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be on Friday at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 5 to 8pm and on Saturday from 7:30 to 9am and then from 10 to 11am at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's School Roof Fund.
