PERCY – Marion Gene Henson, 80, of Percy, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020, at the Princeton Baptist Medical Center, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Marion was born on February 16, 1940, in Percy, the son of Marion W. and Irene (McCrary) Henson. Marion was the founder and former owner of Henson Septic Service stated in 1970, and in business for 50 years. He also worked at Stremline and Captain Mine and formerly owned several business in Percy.
Marion is survived by his 3 daughters; Jeanette (Lonnie) Shepard of Alabama, Sherry (Jim) Pyle of Percy, and Melissa Clinton of Fayetteville Illinois, a sister; Louise (Duayne) Pfeiffer from Quincy, Illinois, a brother; Gary Joe Henson of Coulterville, 7 grandchildren; Jonathan (Samantha) Patton, Brandon (Angel) Patton, Dustin (Emily) Snider, Brandi Snider, Megan (Jake) Carson, Shane Clinton, and Jimmy Pyle, and 8 great grandchildren; Noah, Jackson, Rowin, Brody, Jayden, Roman, Addilyn, and Braelyn.
Mr. Henson was preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Wayne Gail Henson, an infant daughter; Cindy Lou Henson, a son in law; Hilton Dewayne Clinton, grandson; Samuel B Welty, fur babies; Wanda and Take.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held, at Cutler Cemetery, with Bro. Joseph Crow officiating. Memorials may be made to the Cutler Cemetery. Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
