STEELEVILLE, Marie Koch, 95, of Steeleville, passed away at 12:05 A.M. Thursday, January 27, 2011, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL. She was born May 06, 1915 in Chester, Illinois the daughter of Ed Diercks and Minnie (Herschbach) Diercks. Marie married Elmer Koch on October 22, 1933 in Chester, Illinois. Elmer passed away on January 12, 1989. She is survived by her son: Ernest and Ruth Koch of Steeleville, IL; daughters: Dorothy Rinne of Chester, IL, Norma and Ross Fredericksen of Glendale, CA; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one step great grandchild; one sister: LaVerne and Walter Morrison of Chester, IL; one brother: Roger and Edith Diercks of Percy, IL.; one sister-in-law: Irene Diercks of Chester, IL. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Esther Miller, two brothers, Elmer and Gilbert Diercks and one son-in-law, Lester Rinne. She was a homemaker in her own home, a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. Marie was in the St. Mark's Priscilla Club as well as two different pinochle card clubs. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL. Then on Monday from 7:30 to 11 am then from Noon to 1 pm at the church. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
