GORHAM – Margaret Louise Butler, 88, of Gorham, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL.

Margaret was born September 19, 1937, in Jackson County, IL to Walter F. and Amanda (Beckman) Fromme. She married Urban L. Butler on June 28, 1958, in Raddle, IL. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2020. Margaret was a self-employed Beautician and a Cook at Gorham School. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Sodality.

Margaret is survived by her children: Terry (Tammy) Butler of Murphysboro, IL, Jim (Misty) Butler of Murphysboro, IL; her grandchildren: Kyle (Danielle) Hoy, Melissa (Warren) Smith, Dustin (Brooke) J. Butler, Karlie (Clayton) Funk; her great grandchildren; Lucas Hoy, Oliver Hoy, Harper Smith, Keegan Shanahan, Sadie Butler, Abigail Hoy and Emersyn Ann Funk; her sisters: Betty (Delbert) McCoy of Murphysboro, IL and Carolyn (Joseph) Dreste of Damiansville, IL.

Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Mary Ann Kohlenberger.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, 11:00 am, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Raddle, IL, with Father Joel Seipp officiating. Burial to follow at Goodbread Cemetery, Gorham, IL. Visitation will be Monday morning, where friends may call from 9:00 am until time of service at the Church. Memorials may be given to St. Ann's Duck Booya and be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O.
