STEELEVILLE – Marceline "Marcie" Mulholland, 84, of Steeleville, passed away at 6:27 am, Friday, June 3, 2016 at her home in Steeleville.
Marceline was born in Steeleville, IL on December 7, 1931, the daughter of Alvin H. and Maude E. Fleming Heitman. Marcie married Russel Mulholland on September 2, 1950. They had 5 children and divorced in 1979. She worked at the International Shoe Factory in Steeleville; Gilster Mary-Lee in Steeleville; and Spartan Light Metals in Sparta where she retired in 1996. She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church in Percy. Marcie was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother. She had a lifelong love of animals and could often be found walking her dog around her neighborhood. She was rarely seen without a smile on her face, displaying her beautiful dimples.
Marceline is survived by sons, Dennis (Jacinta) Mulholland of Chester, David (Lari) Mulholland and Randy (Norla) Mulholland of Steeleville; a daughter, Ronda (Brent) Fritsche of Percy; son-in-law, Alan Bockhorn of Steeleville; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her cousin, Jackie Hohgrefe, who she thought of as a sister.
Marceline was preceded in death by her Parents and one daughter, Stacey Bockhorn.
Graveside service will be held at 10 am, Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville with Rev. Ed Spiller officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call on Thursday from 5 pm until 8 pm. Memorials may be given to the Humane Society or the River of Life Church.
