CUTLER, Manford H. "PeeWee" Sneddon, 91, of Cutler, passed away at 4:30 A.M. Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, IL. Manford was born July 23, 1918 in Cutler, Illinois the son of Robert "Scottie" Sneddon, Sr. and Elizabeth (McIlmoil) Sneddon. Manford married Ida Lybarger on April 16, 1946 in Pinckneyville, IL. She survives. He was a veteran of WWII in the US Army having served in the 521st Combat Engineer Co. He was a laborer at the coal maines and was also a factory worker. Manford was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Willisville; American Legion Post #1145 of Percy; and a former member of the K of C in Willisville. He is survived by his wife Ida Sneddon of Cutler; one daughter, Joann (Robert) Hatcher of Cutler, IL; three grandchildren, Donald (Carol) Hatcher of Chester, IL, Tami (Steve) Studt of Walsh, IL and Tina (Dave) Theobald of Steeleville, IL; five great granddaughters, Jessica (Adam) Graff of Ava, IL, Nettie (Jeremy) Conway of Willisville, IL, Kristi (Josh) Perry of Marissa, IL, Amanda (Jace) Wilderman of Belelville, IL, and Kassee Theobald of Steeleville; two great grandsons, Ed (Dawn) Smith of Chester and Dustin Theobald of Steeleville; eight great great grandchildren, Kaylei & Katelin Conway, Landon & Payton Perry, Drew, Gavin & Michael Wilderman and Isaac Smith; Several Nieces, Nephews & Friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents; four brothers, Robert, Jr., John, James, and Bill Sneddon; and two sisters, Jeanie Myers and Margaret Bigham. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Willisville with Father Leo J. Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Percy on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 10 am. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Masses.
