CAMPBELL HILL – Lucille Misselhorn, 89, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 12:13 am, Monday, September 16, 2019, at her home.
Lucille was born on November 17, 1929, in Campbell Hill, the daughter of August and Hilda Niederbrach Gerlach. She married Robert A. Misselhorn on August 21, 1954 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1999. Lucille was a retired Cook from Trico High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill and Kaskaskia VFW Auxiliary Post #3553 of Chester.
Lucille is survived by one son, Gary (Barbara) Misselhorn of Campbell Hill; two daughters, Sheila (David) Surman of Chester and Marla Misselhorn of Campbell Hill; five grandchildren, Hilary (Chris) Sternberg of Red Bud, IL, Clint (Bonnie) Misselhorn of Carterville, IL, Amanda (Eric) Epplin of Okawville, IL, Michelle (Kyle) Guebert of Red Bud, and Kimberly (Adam) Mehring of Red Bud; eleven great grandchildren, Trent and Mary Sternberg, Lincoln, Sullivan, and Barrett Misselhorn, Madelyn and Mallory Epplin, Emma and Ella Guebert, and Lauren and Carter Mehring; brother, Roy Gerlach of Oak Brook Terrace, IL.
Lucille was also preceded in death by her Parents; and two brothers, Harold and Lester Gerlach.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, with Rev. Sean Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 9 am until 10 am at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
