PERCY, Lowiene Ohlau, 96, of Percy, passed away at 3:50 P.M. Sunday, January 04, 2009, at St. Anns Healthcare Center in Chester, IL. Lowiene was born May 25, 1912 in Welge, Illinois the daughter of Louis Biermann and Adele (Witbart) Biermann. She married Herbert Ohlau on November 4, 1933 at Bremen, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1997. She was a Homemaker. Lowiene was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Wine Hill and the Lutheran Mission League. Lowiene was a special lady. She was hard working and kind to all. Words cannot express how much her smile shall be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by one sister, Alvera Runge of Walsh, IL; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brothre: Clarence Biermann, and one sister: Mildred Wilson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Tim B. Zechiel officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm and on Thursday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Building Fund or St. Paul's Cemetery Fund.
