STEELEVILLE – Loretta D. Schuette, 80, of Steeleville passed away at 7:15 AM, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester.
Loretta was born on May 8, 1938, in Steeleville the daughter of Harold C. and Edith W. (Lehmberg) Alms. She married Robert Schuette on July 2, 1977 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Wine Hill and they shared 40 years of marriage. She was an administrative assistant at Intertherm Corp, in St. Louis for many years and retired from Gilster Mary Lee, Corp as an administrative assistant. Loretta was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Wine Hill and a very active in the Ladies Aid/LWML, and various church activities and enjoyed bible study at the church.
She is survived by her husband; Robert Schuette, of Steeleville, siblings; Vivian Earlenbaugh, of Francisco, Texas, Marilyn and Rev. Don Sandmann, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Roberta and Ryan Rutherford, of Thornfield, Missouri, Sandra and Dale Koening, of Perryville, Missouri, and Rev. Maurice and Linda Alms, of Troy, Illinois.
Mrs. Schuette was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Eunice, 2 brothers; Royce and Seminarian Donald.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, with Rev. Sean R. Smith, officiating, burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, and then on Saturday from 7:30 AM to 2 PM, and from 3 to 4 PM at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
