STEELEVILLE – Loretta Qualls, 66, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Loretta was born on December 3, 1958, in Ava, IL, the daughter of Joseph Albert, Sr. and Beulah Mae (Reiman) Qualls. Loretta worked at Gilster Mary Lee Corporation in Steeleville for 49 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Ava, IL.

Loretta is survived by her sister, Kathy (Douglas) Carlton of Makanda, IL, her brother, Joseph A Qualls, Jr of Ava, IL, her niece, Deasha (Jordan) Kernodle, her nephew, Brandon (Gabrielle) Carlton, her great niece, Kya Kernodle and her nephew, Mason Kernodle.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved partner, Paul Kohm.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Rev. Bob Spangler officiating. Burial to follow at Glenn Cemetery, Rockwood, IL. Visitation will be Thursday evening, March 27, 2025, where friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and then on Friday morning from 7:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
