Obituary
SPARTA – Lindle Pickering, 76, of Sparta, passed away at 2:01 pm, Thursday June 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Lindle was born in Carrier Mills, Illinois on March 31, 1941, the son of Orville and Olive Cozart Pickering. He married Debra J Randolph on July 22, 1978 in Harrisburg, Illinois. Lindle was retired from Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of Sparta Christian Church, Sparta; Illinois Patriot Guard Riders; NRA; UMWA Local #12; and EAA Experimental Aeronautic Association.
Lindle is survived by his wife Debra J Pickering of Sparta; three sons Jeremy (Ashley) Pickering of Sparta, David Pickering of Carrier Mills, and Tony (Chris) Pickering of Carrier Mills; seven grandchildren Amanda Pickering, Caleb Pickering, Abbie Pickering, Loralye Pickering, Luke Pickering, Brianni Pickering, and Nora Pickering; several great grandchildren; sister in law Ronica (Don) Smith of Harrisburg; and one niece Desirae (Lance) Choate.
Lindle was preceded in death by his parents; and one infant son Dustin.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Sparta Christian Church in Sparta with Rev. Clint Evans officiating. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery, Carrier Mills. Visitation will be at Sparta Christian Church in Sparta on Monday where friends may call from 9 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to the Memorial Fund at Sparta Christian Church.
