STEELEVILLE, Linda Gerberding, 100, of Steeleville, passed away at 11:53 P.M. Tuesday, September 06, 2011, at Chester Rehab and Nursing Center in Chester, IL. She was born October 30, 1910 in Bremer, Iowa the daughter of Chris Wedemeyer and Emma (Niederbrach) Wedemeyer. Linda married Arthur Gerberding on November 4, 1933 in Campbell Hill, IL. Arthur passed away on January 22, 1991. She is survived by her children: Arthur L. and Dorothy Gerberding of Chester, IL, Dale and Janet Gerberding of Collinsville, IL, and Helen and Clarence Kueker of Collinsville, IL; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, one son, one great granddaughter, four brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Gerberding was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. She was also a homemaker in her own home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Campbell Hill. Visitation will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Saturday from 11 am to 1pm. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Building Fund or St. Mark's L.W.M.L.
