Obituary
AVA – Lester A. Rohlfing, 89, of Ava, passed away at 1:40 pm, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab, Pinckneyville.
Lester was born in Cora, Illinois on January 2, 1928 the son of Arthur and Effie Mae Rope Rohlfing. He married Dorris L. Cooper on January 21, 1951 at Cooter, MO. She preceded him in death on July 17, 1990. He was retired from Spartan Light Metal, Sparta, Illinois. He was of the Lutheran Faith.
Lester is survived by one son, Mark (Donna) Rohlfing of Pinckneyville, IL; two grandsons, Derek and Matthew Rohlfing of Pinckneyville; and one brother, Kenneth (Ruth) Rohlfing of Ava.
Lester is also preceded in death by his Parents; one brother and two sisters.
Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Mark Lee officiating. Visitation will be at from 5 pm until 7pm Thursday. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
