CAMPBELL HILL – LeRoy G. Rieckenberg, 91, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 12:58 pm, Friday, February 25, 2022, at his home in Campbell Hill, IL.
LeRoy was born January 7, 1931, in Ava, IL, to George and Emma Kessel Rieckenberg. He married Della Mae Ehlers on January 6, 1951, in Campbell Hill, IL. LeRoy was retired from Captain Coal Mine and also drove a milk truck for Prairie Farms Dairy Company. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, and United Mine Workers of America, #1392.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Della Mae Rieckenberg of Campbell Hill, IL, children: Sharon (Steve) Toler of DuQuoin, IL, Randy Rieckenberg of Campbell Hill, IL, Julie (Scott) Schutte of Campbell Hill, IL; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a brother, Robert Rieckenberg of Delano, MN
LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Diann Pierce, two grandchildren, Courtney Rieckenberg, and Jeremy Pierce, one brother, Homer Dean Rieckenberg and one sister, Earline Eggemeyer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, with Minister Deb Rathert officiating. Burial to follow at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church, where family and friends may call from 8 - 11 am. Memorials may be given to St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery and can be mailed to Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Ava, IL, 62907. To sign the guestbook, visit www.wilsonsfuneralhome.net .
