CHESTER – Leonard "Mouse" Ebers, 69, of Chester passed away at 10:07 AM, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at his home.
Leonard was born on July 29, 1950, in Murphysboro, the son of Herbert H. and Flora (Thies) Ebers. Mouse was retired from Gilster Mary Lee in Chester, and was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill. He enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and liked enjoyed football.
Mouse is survived by his brother; Marvin Ebers, of Chester, 4 sisters; Mary Lou Johnson, of Florrisant, Missouri, Barbara Bogenpohl, of Steeleville, Linda Craig, of Willisville, and Pamela Davis, of Henderson, Nevada.
Mr. Ebers was preceded in death by his parents, 2 nephews, and 1 niece.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, September 14, 2019, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Wine Hill, with Rev. Sean R. Smith officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church where friends may call from Noon to 2 PM. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Cystic Fibrosis. Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
