STEELEVILLE – Leona Cicka, 93, of Steeleville passed away at 6:42 AM, Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the Manor of Craig Farms, Chester.

Leona as born on April 13, 1926, in Steeleville, the daughter of Fritz and Anna (Dierks) Brockmeyer. She was retired from Gilster Mary Lee, and a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, BBK American Legion Auxiliary Post #480, and the St. Paul's Ladies Aid.

Leona is survived by her daughters; JoAnn Mevert, of Steeleville, Rhonda (Rob) Rothrock, of Pomona, Illinois, granddaughter; Allison (Eric) Boswell, 2 great grandchildren; Emily and Ellie. She is also survived by a sister; Irma Brockmeyer Wente, of Steeleville, and a host of family and friends.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers; Fritz, Raymond, Leroy, Alfred, Irwin, and 2 sisters; Frieda Winkelmann, Olinda Schultz.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, with Rev. Sean R. Smith officiating, burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 5 to 8 PM, and then on Tuesday from 7:30 to 9 AM and from 10 to 11 AM, at the church. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Cemetery Fund.
