PERCY - Leatha F. Gwin, 75, of Percy, passed away at 12:18 am, Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL. Leatha was born on January 29, 1938 in Willisville, IL, the daughter of Charles and Estella Rubach Todaro. She married William C. Gwin on November 22, 1956 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1969. Leatha was a homemaker. Leatha is a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. She was a former Democratic Prescient Committee Person and was involved in several school activities, such as PTA. Leatha is survived by five children, Bill (Patty) Gwin of Percy, Annette (Frank) Rolfe of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Pam Gwin of Steeleville, Kathy Stupay of Kenosa, WI and Kent Gwin of Percy; grandchildren, Amanda Gwin of Chester, Eva Rolfe of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Jamie Gwin of Willisville, Sarah Stupay of Kenosa, WI and Edward Stupay of Kenosa, WI; one great grandchild, Kentlee Mifflin of Willisville; and one sister, Doris (Rev. Waldemar) Dressler of Steeleville. Leatha was also preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will in Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday and on Thursday from 7:30 am until 11 am then from Noon until 1 pm at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran School.
