WILLISVILLE – Lawrence "Sonny" Diamond, 64, of Willisville, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at his home in Willisville, Illinois.

Sonny was born March 24, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, to Lawrence and Eileen (Wilson) Diamond. He married Catherine Welty on February 27, 1994, in Nashville, IL. Sonny was employed at Sisco Corporation, Nashville, IL, and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Catherine Diamond of Willisville, IL, children: Terry (Maria) Diamond of Willisville, IL, Mindy (Gary) Hayden of Willisville, IL; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.

Sonny is preceded in death by his parents, one son, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Rev. Bryan Jeffries officiating. Burial to follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 11 - 1 pm.
