JACOB - LaVera Korando, 92, of Yakima, WA, formerly of E. St. Louis, IL, passed away at the Memorial Hospital in Yakima, WA at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 7, 2010. LaVera was born on March 17, 1918 in E. St. Louis, IL, the daughter of William and Ora Florence Cranford Andrews. She married John Korando on October 30, 1943 in St. Louis, MO, he preceded her in death on December 29, 1984. LaVera was a homemaker and attended various churches throughout her life. LaVera is survived by one son, Roger John (Marylen) Korando of Yakima, WA; two grandchildren, Donald & Mindy; two great grandchildren, Carly & Josie; two brothers-in-law: James Korando of Jacob and Herbert (Ruby) Korando of Jacob. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Glenn, Al & Donald; and one sister, Helen Eoff. Memorial service will be held, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Noon at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Father Leo J. Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Ava Evergreen Cemetery.
