STEELEVILLE – Larry G. Ebers, 73, of Steeleville, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at Three Springs Lodge, Chester, IL.

Larry was born June 15, 1948, in Chester, IL, to Clarence H. and Violet (Eggemeyer) Ebers. He married Bonnie J. Eggemeyer on February 14, 1985, at United Presbyterian Church, Sparta, IL. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2021. Larry was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Wine Hill, Steeleville. Larry was active in Randolph County Farm Bureau, a former member of EECA, Board of Directors, and various church committees.

Larry is survived by his brother, Lonny (Judy) Ebers of Chester, IL, sister, Joyce (Jerry) Ohlau of Percy, IL, sisters-in-law, Carol (Mike) Skinner of Waterloo, IL, Sandy (Dave) Degenhardt of Murphysboro, IL, Kathy (Bret) Gale of Sparta, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Larry is also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leo Ebers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Wine Hill, Steeleville, with Rev. Timothy Sims officiating. Burial to follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery – Wine Hill, Steeleville. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Wilson's Funeral Home, where friends may call from 6 - 8 pm, and Wednesday, 7:30 – 9 am, then 10 – 11 am at the church.
