AVA –Larry E. Davis, 73, of Ava, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at home in Ava.

Larry was born November 22, 1946 in Ava, the son of the late Grover and Grace (Smith) Davis.  Larry was united in holy matrimony on October 15, 1971 at Denmark, Illinois to Margery Cottom. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2015.

Larry was member of the Denmark Baptist Church in Cutler.   Larry was a veteran of the Air Force during the Vietnam era.  Larry was a member of the Pipefitters Local #160.  Larry was also a collector of International tractors.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped to get Larry to all his treatments and appointments and for everyone that was there for him when he needed the help.

Larry is survived by two children, daughter, Lori Davis of Ava, and son, Daron Davis of Ava.  One granddaughter, Shannon Davis.  Sister, Mary Lages of St. Louis, Missouri.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Davis.

Phase 4 Guideline will be in effect, which allows 50 attendees at one time, using social distancing guidelines and facemasks.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava,
