PERCY – L. Alberta Schrader, 95, of Percy, passed away at 11:55 pm, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois.

Alberta was born in Lost Prairie, Illinois, on April 3, 1922, the daughter of Carl and Alma Ebers Beck.  She married Clarence W. Schrader on June 15, 1946 at Lost Prairie, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on February 15, 2010.  Alberta was a Homemaker and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville and the St. Mark's Priscilla Club.

Alberta was an exceptional homemaker.  She loved creating a welcoming environment for her family.  Alberta's family and friends remember her joy, laughter, and quick wit.  She enjoyed playing pinochle, sewing, gardening and doll making.

Alberta is survived by two daughter, Sharon (Dennis) Pelz of Eureka, MO and Shelia (Robert) Uchtmann of Chester; two grandchildren, Gregory Uchtmann of Archibald, LA and Daniel (Nola) Uchtmann of Anchorage, AK; great grandchildren, Tess, Brendon & Joshua Uchtmann of Archibald and Emery and Gabriel Uchtmann of Anchorage; and several nieces and nephews.

Alberta was also preceded in death by her Parents; one brother, Wilbert Beck; and five sisters, Alvera Witter, Lucille Schwarz, Florence Schnepel, Amelia Paasch and Edith Pick.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Kelly Bedard officiating.  Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville.  Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am at the church.  Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or Randolph County Care Center Auxiliary Fund.
